WELCOME TO POKHARA
We know you’re tired from your big journey, but Pokhara has much to offer. This brief guide can help you find the best restaurants, shops, and attractions. But first, let’s talk about our group plan for tomorrow.
Your flight back to Kathmandu will be coordinated by Deana and communicated to you via Whatsapp and/or email.
But first, it’s time for one last group dinner tonight!
6:00 PM - Group Dinner at Moondance
Moondance Restaurant is our favorite hangout in downtown Pokhara. It’s about a 25 minute walk from the hotel, or a quick 5 minute car ride. The hotel can arrange for taxis for you. For 34 Years Moondance has provided travelers a wide variety of foods with a great atmosphere.
Taxis & Getting Around
Most taxi rides in the Lakeside district are 5-8 minutes long and cost no more than 600 rupees. Walking to/from the area with popular shops and restaurants is 15-25 minutes for most destinations.
Shopping for Gifts & Souvenirs
Just about anything you would hope to find, you will certainly locate in one of the many shops on Lakeside Road, just a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

RESTAURANT GUIDE
RESTAURANT GUIDE
These are a few of our favorite places to eat in Pokhara, many owned by dear friends.
SANCHON KOREAN
Sanchon Korean is the best Korean restaurant in Pokhara with unmatched quality and service. It’s one of our top recommendations in town.
Great pizzas, salads, pastas, and wine are reasons go go to Roadhouse. The balcony offers a great place to watch the town in action. Really great food.
Krazy Gecko
This outdoor bar/restaurant is a super fun place to relax. Right on the water, it feels like a jungle club and has great cocktails, simple but deliscious food, and an amazing menu of smoothies, fruit juices, and more. We love this place for a variety of reasons. You will need to taxi there as it’s just a bit outside town.
EXTRA TIME IN POKHARA?
EXTRA TIME IN POKHARA?
If you have an extra day in Pokhara, here are a few things you can do to enjoy the town.
Paddle on the lake
You have to rent a boat with a paddler, but this is a fun way to see Pokhara from the water. We often pay the 1,500 rupees to paddle to the Krazy Gecko for a smoothie, lunch, or cold beer.
Paraglide
The hotel can make arrangements to set you up with the best paragliding agencies in town. This is a half-day adventure and a popular way to get up close to the Himalayas.
Mountain Museum
A 10 minute taxi can take you to Pokhara’s biggest museum with great exhibits displaying the many cultures of Nepal, as well as cool information about Nepal’s colorful mountaineering history. It’s a small museum, worthy of about an hour or so.
Rent a Royal Enfield
We can arrange to rent a Royal Enfield Bullet for the day so you can explore the local roads on your own. There are several great little meanders just outside the main town. Pokhara is a great place to explore with a casual cruise on a Royal Enfield Bullet. Cost is under $40.
